NORMAS PARA LA PRESENTACIÓN DE TRABAJOS

Normas de publicación

La Revista “PubliCE” es una publicación de divulgación técnica y científica de contenidos centrados en el ámbito de la Actividad Física y del Deporte. Las principales líneas de investigación de la revista son:

  • Fisiología del ejercicio.
  • Nutrición y entrenamiento deportivo.
  • Deportes Colectivos: Genética, Expertise y Análisis.

En “PubliCE” tendrán cabida, fundamentalmente, artículos de carácter científico: trabajos de naturaleza teórica, experimental y empírica, basados en la experiencia profesional. Los artículos habrán de ser inéditos y no se admitirán aquellos que hayan sido publicados total o parcialmente, ni los que estén en proceso de publicación o valoración. Se asume que todas las personas que figuran como autores han dado su conformidad. Los artículos presentados profundizarán sobre alguno de los bloques temáticos siguientes:

  • Rendimiento en el deporte: entrenamiento, biomecánica, fisiología, psicología, tecnologías en el deporte.
  • Enseñanza de la actividad física y el deporte: educación física escolar, iniciación y formación deportiva, formación de técnicos.
  • Ocio, actividades en la naturaleza, turismo y recreación: gestión, instalaciones, deporte profesional, programas de deporte para todos, organización de eventos.
  • Actividad física y salud: expresión corporal, danza y ritmo, poblaciones especiales.
  • Ciencias sociales y humanas: sociología, historia, teoría del deporte.
  • Legislación.
  • Tesis doctorales. Dentro de este apartado se publicarán los resúmenes de las Tesis doctorales asociadas al área de la actividad física y el deporte.

ENVÍO DE LA PUBLICACIÓN Y NORMAS DE ESTILO

El proceso de envío del artículo será imprescindible el nombre de todos los autores, con sus filiaciones. La filiación comprenderá, generalmente, el departamento, la institución, la ciudad y la nación. También se señalarán las direcciones de correo electrónico de contacto de cada autor, así como la dirección de correo electrónico en la que se quiere que nos dirijamos en caso de necesitar alguna documentación más, o enviar las correcciones necesarias. Es recomendable que se incluyan tanto las direcciones postales como los teléfonos.

Los trabajos se redactarán siguiendo los principios del estilo APA en su última versión. Manual de Estilo de Publicaciones (versión resumida en ppt de la 6ª ed. en castellano en http://www.slideshare.net/eflores/introduccion-apa-6ta-edicin). Se utilizarán las Normas APA para las citas y referencias.

Aquellos que no se atengan a dichas normas no serán considerados para su publicación. Los manuscritos deberán ser a doble espacio a una sola cara con una extensión máxima aproximada de no más de 6000 palabras (incluyendo todos los puntos) y un máximo de 40 referencias), la fuente es Times New Roman (pitch 12), con márgenes de 3 centímetros y con las páginas numeradas y paginadas. Tanto los números de línea por página, como el número de páginas.

Los apartados del trabajo original deben estar en mayúsculas. Los subapartados deben estar en minúsculas.

Los originales podrán estar escritos tanto en el idioma castellano como en inglés y los autores deben proporcionar la siguiente información al registrar el trabajo en la plataforma on-line:

  • Datos autores: Nombre de cada autor completo (dos apellidos y nombre) y de sus instituciones, ciudad y país.
  • Información suficiente para el contacto con el autor (dirección postal completa, teléfonos y correos electrónicos).

Estructura de los trabajos

a. Título del artículo en castellano.
b. Título del artículo en inglés.
c. Un resumen en castellano, que no supere las 200 palabras, que concluya con una sentencia en la que se resuman las aplicaciones prácticas o los logros presentados en el artículo.
d. Entre 2 y 4 palabras clave en castellano.
e. Un resumen en inglés, que no supere las 200 palabras, que concluya con una sentencia en la que se resuman las aplicaciones prácticas o los logros presentados en el artículo.
f. Entre 2 y 4 palabras clave en inglés.
g. Se deberán indicar –si es el caso– las fuentes de financiación de la investigación, así como el hecho de haberse presentado (de forma previa o preliminar) en algún congreso, simposio o similar.
h. Los trabajos y estudios originales procedentes de una investigación deben contener las secciones enunciadas en mayúscula en el siguiente orden: INTRODUCCIÓN, MÉTODO, RESULTADOS, DISCUSIÓN (en este apartado se incluyen las conclusiones), APORTACIONES DIDÁCTICAS, REFERENCIAS.
No se aceptarán notas al pie, que deberán ser incorporadas al texto.
Las tablas, gráficos y figuras deberán tener calidad suficiente para su impresión en papel.
i. Los trabajos de revisión bibliográfica deberán seguir la siguiente estructura: INTRODUCCIÓN, METODOLOGÍA (que incluya los subapartados Diseño, Estrategia de búsqueda, Criterios de inclusión y exclusión, Extracción de datos y Análisis de datos), RESULTADOS, LIMITACIONES, CONCLUSIONES, REFERENCIAS.

PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN DE MANUSCRITOS

Una vez recibido un trabajo, se comunicará inmediatamente su recepción. A partir de ese momento, los trabajos serán revisados anónimamente por dos evaluadores externos. En caso de ser aceptados, quedarán en depósito para su publicación, tras la cual, el autor recibirá un ejemplar. En caso de ser rechazados, se indicará a los autores el motivo de tal rechazo y su posible rectificación, si ésta procede.

La Revista “PubliCE” se reserva el derecho de publicación de los trabajos presentados, así como de su resumen, en el medio y momento que considere oportunos. En el caso de no publicarse el trabajo en el plazo de dos años, el autor podrá solicitar a la Revista “PubliCE” la devolución de los textos y materiales originales, quedando una copia en poder de ésta.

Cesión de derechos y contenidos

1. Los autores o colaboradores ceden a favor de la revista “PubliCE”, sin percibir retribución o emolumento alguno, los derechos de reproducción y distribución en cualquier medio o soporte digital o en papel, para la publicación de sus contenidos. En todo caso el autor se somete a las normas de publicación de la revista.

2. El autor de artículos publicados en “PubliCE” declara bajo su exclusiva responsabilidad, y como condición necesaria para la aceptación de los contenidos aportados, ostentar la legítima titularidad o el derecho de uso sobre todos los derechos de propiedad intelectual e industrial correspondientes a los contenidos de “PubliCE”, sin que sobre dichos derechos exista pleito o reclamación alguna por parte de terceros.

3. “PubliCE” no será responsable frente a terceros de los daños o perjuicios que el autor pudiera ocasionar por utilizar ilícitamente derechos de terceros o cuya titularidad no ostente.

4. En cualquier momento “PubliCE” podrá requerir al usuario para que acredite suficientemente los anteriores extremos y, caso contrario, “PubliCE” quedará facultada para proceder a la inmediata retirada de los contenidos sin que de ello se derive responsabilidad alguna para “PubliCE”.

5. De los posibles perjuicios que se irroguen a “PubliCE” por el incumplimiento del apartado segundo de esta cláusula “PubliCE” se reserva el derecho de resarcimiento por los daños y perjuicios económicos y morales que se le causen.

REFERENCIAS

En el texto del artículo las citas bibliográficas se efectuarán según el siguiente procedimiento. Si el autor es único se citará el apellido del autor seguido del año de publicación entre paréntesis, por ejemplo: “En hipoxia disminuye el gasto cardíaco máximo” (Pugh, 1964). Si el trabajo citado ha sido desarrollado por dos autores se citará al primer autor y al segundo seguidos del año de publicación, por ejemplo: “La potenciación elástica contribuye a la mejora de la capacidad de salto” (Komi y Bosco, 1972). Si los autores del trabajo son más de dos, se citará a todos los autores la primera vez y después se citará al primero seguido de la abreviatura “et al.,” y el año de publicación, por ejemplo: “El momento de inercia de la pierna aumenta con el crecimiento” (Fernández et al., 1975). Si se cita más de un trabajo para apoyar una idea, se separarán las citas por “;” exponiéndose por orden alfabético, por ejemplo: “El área de sección transversal muscular es el principal factor determinante de la fuerza muscular” (Arteaga y Ramírez, 1999; Comí, 1992; Kraemer et al., 2000). Si se citan trabajos de un mismo grupo o autor publicados el mismo año, se ordenarán por orden cronológico con las letras “a, b, c, d, …” a continuación de la fecha P. ej. (Kraemer et al., 1996a; 1997a, b). Para hacer referencia a trabajos no publicados se citará al autor en el texto y a continuación entre paréntesis “comunicación personal”. En la sección de referencias, las citas se ordenarán por orden alfabético. Cada cita debe especificar el último apellido de los autores seguido por las iniciales del nombre. Si el trabajo ha sido efectuado por más de un autor, éstos se citarán a continuación hasta un máximo de 7, separados por una coma. Si el número de autores es superior a 7 se citarán los tres primeros seguidos por “et al.,”. A continuación se citará el año de publicación entre paréntesis, el título del trabajo, el nombre de la revista citada (en cursiva), abreviado conforme a las abreviaturas utilizadas en el Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index. Si la revista citada no aparece en los índices mencionados se citará el nombre completo de la revista. Finalmente, tras el nombre de la revista se escribirá el número del volumen en cursiva y número de las páginas inicial y final separadas por un guión.

TABLAS

Las tablas se numerarán en el texto con números según el orden en que son mencionadas en el texto p. ej. (Tabla 1). Las tablas deberán tener un título que su ubicará encima de la tabla, p. ej. “Tabla 1 Características físicas de los sujetos”. Las tablas han de ser comprensibles por sí mismas. Si se emplean abreviaciones en las tablas éstas tienen que ser explicadas en el pie de tabla. El formato de las tablas será lo más simple posible reduciendo el número de líneas para separar columnas o filas al mínimo. El número máximo de tablas será de 5 para las revisiones bibliográficas y los trabajos originales.

FIGURAS

La figuras se numerarán consecutivamente en el texto, de forma abreviada y entre paréntesis, p. ej. (Fig. 1). El número de figuras deberá limitarse a un máximo de 7 para los trabajos originales y revisiones bibliográficas. Sólo incluir figuras en el trabajo si facilitan la comprensión de los resultados obtenidos.

El comité editorial de la revista a través de su Editor en Jefe se pondrá en contacto con el autor para informarle del estado de su artículo, que puede ser uno de los siguientes:

  • ACEPTADO,
  • ACEPTADO CON MODIFICACIONES,
  • RECHAZADO.

También se le enviarán instrucciones al autor para el envío de modificaciones si así se requiere.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

PubliCE is a biannual technical and scientific publication devoted to publishing articles concerning Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. Research interests of the journal are:

  • Physiology of Exercise.
  • Nutrition and sports training.
  • Team sports: Genetics, Expertise, and Analysis.

Papers considered for publication by PubliCE will primarily be scientific: theoretical contributions, trials, empirical papers and studies based on professional experience. All articles submitted for publication should be original. Papers that have already been published, totally or partially, or that have been submitted for consideration for any other publication will not be accepted. The corresponding author assumes the responsibility on behalf of all co-authors.

All submitted articles should constitute relevant contributions to one or more of the following fields:

  • Sports Performance: training, biomechanics, physiology, psychology, sport technologies.
  • Teaching of physical activity and sports: physical education in school, sport initiation and training, professional training.
  • Leisure activities, nature activities, tourism and recreation: aspects related to management, facilities, professional sports, inclusive sports programs, event organisation.
  • Physical activity and health: corporal expression, dance and rhythm, special populations.
  • Social and human sciences: sociology, history and theory of sports.
  • Legislation.
  • Doctoral dissertations.

SUBMISSION PROCESS AND STYLE GUIDELINES

In the article submission process it is essential to indicate the name of all authors and their current affiliation. Affiliations will generally include information regarding the department, institution, city, and country. The corresponding author and all co-authors are required to provide full contact details, including email, mailing address, postal code, and telephone numbers.

Authors are expected to comply with current APA guidelines concerning ethical publications and research practices. By submitting the manuscript to the journal the corresponding author, on behalf of all co-authors, agrees that the work is not concurrently under review elsewhere and that the findings presented have not been published elsewhere.

All authors also confirm that they have conformed to ethical guidelines and that authorship order accurately reflects relative contributions.

Manuscripts should strictly follow the APA publication guidelines as described in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.). Manuscripts that fail to comply with these guidelines will not be considered for publication.

Papers should be double-spaced on one side with a maximum length of 6000 words (including the abstract, the main text, notes, references and tables) and up to 40 references. Papers should be prepared using Times New Roman (pitch 12), with margins of 3 cm. All pages should be numbered and paginated, as well as each line of page.

The journal accepts manuscripts in Spanish or in English.

Structure of the manuscripts

a. Title of the paper in Spanish.
b. Title of the article in English.
c. An abstract of the paper in Spanish, of no more than 200 words. The last sentence of the abstract should summarise the practical applications or the main findings contained in the paper.
d. 2 to 4 key words in Spanish.
e. An abstract of the paper in English, of no more than 200 words. The last sentence of the abstract should summarise the practical applications or the main findings contained in the paper.
f. 2 to 4 key words in English.
g. Funding sources, conferences or symposiums where the paper has been previously presented, if any, should be indicated.
h. The text must contain the following sections with titles in ALL CAPS in this exact order: INTRODUCTION, METHOD, RESULTS, DISCUSSION, PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS, REFERENCES.
Footnotes are not allowed. They should be incorporated into the text.
i. The works of bibliographical review will have to continue the following structure: INTRODUCTION, METHODOLOGY (that includes the subsections Design, Strategy of search, Criteria of inclusion and exclusion, Extraction of information and Data analysis), RESULTS, LIMITATIONS, CONCLUSIONS, REFERENCES.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Tables, graphics and figures should have optimum print quality.

Assessment

Authors will be notified upon reception of their papers. Then, papers will be blindly reviewed by two independent evaluators.

If accepted, papers will be kept pending publication. If the manuscript is not accepted, authors will be informed of the reasons for exclusion and the possible modifications, if applicable.

PubliCE reserves the right of publication of the manuscripts submitted, and their abstract, by any means at any time. If the paper is not published after a period of two years, the author can request the original text and material, of which PubliCE will keep a copy.

Transfer of Rights and contents.

1. Authors and collaborators, without any remuneration, transfer the copyrights and the rights of distribution in any form by any means to PubliCE for publication. The author shall comply with the norms of publication of the journal at all times.

2. Authors of papers accepted for publication in PubliCE declare under their entire responsibility and as an essential condition for acceptance, that they are entitled or have the right to make use of the intellectual property rights of the contents submitted. Such rights shall not be subject to claim by third parties.

3. PubliCE will not be held liable for all third party claims in connection to non-authorized use of the article.

4. Authors could be required to prove the rights above mentioned, otherwise, PubliCE will be empowered to withdraw the material with no responsibility for PubliCE.

5. Should authors fail to comply with the second provision of this clause, PubliCE reserve the right to compensation for the economic or moral damages caused.

REFERENCES

References should be cited in accordance with to the following procedure. If there is just one author, the surname goes first followed by the year of publication in parentheses, e.g.: “hypoxia diminishes maximal cardiac output” (Pugh, 1964). If the manuscript is written by two authors, their names will appear before the year of publication, e.g.: “Elastic potentiation contributes to an improved jump capacity” (Komi and Bosco, 1972). If there are more than two authors, the first time must be all of them and the next time the first author’s surname and “et al.,” are used followed by the year of publication, e.g.: “Lower leg moment of inertia increases with growth” (Fernández et al., 1975). If more than two papers are cited, they should be separated by “;” in alphabetical order, e.g.: “Transverse section of muscles is the main factor determining muscle strength” (Arteaga and Ramírez, 1999; Comí, 1992; Kraemer et al., 2000). If papers of the same group or author published in the same year are cited, they will appear in chronological order with the letters “a, b ,c ,d, …” followed by the date. e.g.: (Kraemer et al., 1996a; 1997a,b). When citing an unpublished source the author should be quoted in the text including “personal communication” in parentheses.

In the section of references, citations will appear in alphabetical order. Citations should include the surname of the authors followed by the initials of the name. If the paper is written by more than one author, authors will be cited consecutively up to a maximum of seven, separated by commas. If there are more than seven authors, the first three are listed followed by “et al.,”. The year of publication will be cited in parentheses following authors, then, the title of the paper, the journal abbreviation (italics) in accordance with the abbreviations of Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index. If the journal does not appear in the indexes abovementioned, the full name of the journal should be cited. Finally, the volume number in italics and the number of the first and last pages separated by a hyphen.

TABLES

Tables should be numbered consecutively in the order of their first citation in the text. E.g. (Table 1). Tables should be provided with a title in the top. E.g.: “Table 1 Physical characteristics of the subjects”. Tables should be easily understood. If abbreviations are used, they should be explained in footnotes. The format of the tables should be as simple as possible. The number of lines should be reduced to minimise the space between columns and rows. Bibliographic reviews and original papers with more than five tables will not be accepted.

FIGURES

Figures should be cited in consecutive order, abbreviated and in parenthesis, e.g. (Fig. 1). Bibliographic reviews and original papers with more than seven figures will not be accepted. Figures should be incorporated only if they help understand the findings.

SUBMITTING A MANUSCRIPT

Authors interested in submitting a manuscript for review must enter the link: http://g-se.com/es/journals/publice-standard/autores and complete the forms. The editorial board of the journal through its Editor in Chief will contact the author to report on the status of the manuscript, which can be one of the following:

  • ACCEPTED,
  • ACCEPTED WITH MODIFICATIONS,
  • REJECTED.

Instructions will also be sent to the author instructions for sending changes if required.
